Fast perfekte Bilder von fast perfekten Landschaften. Tolle Sache. Die Sache hat bei Sonja Braas einen kleinen Haken. Sie inszeniert ihre fast wuchtigen Oden an die Natur. Vor diesem Hintergrund bekommen sie dann nochmal eine andere Wendung. Interessant.

Nearly perfect pictures of nearly perfect landscapes. great thing. The thing though has a small hook with Sonja Braas. She produces her nearly intense Oden to nature. Before this background they get then again another idiom. Interesting.

Mit Inge Rambow auf Halde. Dunkle Stimmung

Das hier ist kein grand-canyonmässiges Erinnerungsfoto. Und auch keine Makroaufnahme einer Sandkasteninstallation. Wir dürfen auf diesem Fotos nur die Relikte ostdeutscher Abbaumethodik bestaunen. Und man kann Inge Rambow nur wünschen, sie war nicht allein unterwegs, so trostlos kommt einem das vor. Auch wenn diese Aufnahmen zweifelsohne einen ästhetischen Touch hinterlassen können.

this here is not a grand canyon like memory picture and its not a macro take of a sand box installation either. we see on this image only the relics of an east german mining method. its only to hope for inga rambow that she was not alone on this less consoling way. however, the pictures have still kind of a estethic touch too.

Heute keine konkrete Künstlerempfehlung - aber zum entspannten Loslassen angestrengter Bein- und Beckenübungen eignet sich so ein Portal doch hervorragend: leichte Musik und für die Augen Panorama-Ansichten von fahrenden Zügen.

Ich finde es immer wieder erstaunlich, welche Art Fotos Eindruck auf mich machen. Glücklicherweise zählen für mich keine technischen oder sonstig professionellen Kriterien. (nach Herzenslust bleibt mir dann vorbehalten einzig der ästhetische Wirkung den Vorzug zu geben. Mit allem was dazugehört: frischfröhliche Naivität und Belanglosigkeit liegen da hübsch beieinander. Manchmal wünschte ich mir, die Qualität von Fotografien einschätzen zu können. Aber dann würde genau die unverstellte Sicht auf die Mechanismus des Wirkens verloren gehen. Ich müsste auf andere Kritierien zurückgreifen, als meine eigenen oder die unhinterfragt übernommenen. - Wen wird das stören?

I am always surprised which kind of images use to impresse me. it is not important for me how professional they are. sometimes i wished i could measure the qualitiy of pictures however but it could change my naiv view and the attraction of the wonderful estethic surface. still the intellectual critic is second place.

Warum musikalisch nicht fortsetzen, was ich vor wenigen Tagen angefangen habe. Eher dunkler, elektronisch verhandelter Sound, denn sonniger Pop und Melodien. Ist ja noch Februar - das passt schon. Auch wenn das Wetter hier so tut, als wäre der Frühling längstens auf dem Weg. Wie es sich anhören würde, wenn er denn tatsächlich käme, habe ich mir mit Burial vorgestellt - wunderbarer Dubstep. Casino vs Japan knüpfen daran an und übergeben an die denkbar verspulten Genders. Dann klickert sich das gemütlich mit Agoria ein um mich für heute mit einem Franzosenauf das Steppen am Abend einzustimmen.

Jacob Carter und The Russian Futurists

Hatte ich vor einigen Tagen schon mal auf Caspar David Friedrich verwiesen, gilt das auch für einige Fotos von Jacob Carter. Diese Technik, Fotos fast wie impressionistische Gemälde wirken zu lassen, scheint derzeit mächtig angesagt, befindet gleichfalls Joerg Colberg, bei dem ich auf Jacob Carter aufmerksam wurde. Neben seinen Strandfotos ist die AKW-Serie sehr spannend. Werft gleich auch einen Blick auf einige seiner Auftragsarbeiten. Spannend.

like i mentioned a couple days ago Caspar David Friedrich i relate also some images of Jacob Carter to him. this ability to make look photos like impressionistic paintings seems to be in right now. this also Joerg Colberg thinks who put my attention on Jacob Carter. besides his beach pictures is the AKW-episode very exciting. have a look on some of his works by order. exciting.

Elger Esser und Mikkel Metal

Seine Fotografien haben etwas Entrücktes. Gelbe oder grüne Filter oder jene Verfremdung, die seine Fotos wie impressionistische Malerei wirken lässt. In fast jedem seiner Fotos ist ein Sehsuchte anwesend, ein Warten. Es ist eine fast spürbare Ruhe oder sogar Stillstand - gemessen an dem schnellen Wesen unserer Tage.

his images are kind of fading away. yellow and green filters or just this unreal touch which makes his pictures look like an impressionistic painting. almost all his shots are full of a longing and seem like to wait for something. they have quit a sense for calmness or even stillness - measured on the fast going ons of these days.
