Der Autodidakt Gábor Kerekes scheint die Zeit technologischer Entwicklung in der Fotografie zurückdrehen zu wollen. Das mutet vielleicht konservativ an. Aber der Verweigerung ausgefeilter Technik setzt er die verzückte Faszination an Details entgegen. Seit mehr als 30 Jahren fotografiert der Ungar. Mir haben es vor allem die 70er und 80er Jahre seiner Arbeiten angetan. Wie in Weichzeichner getauchte Momentaufnahmen, die in ihrer Düsternis kaum zu übertreffen sind. Ein paar dunkle Gitarren-Tracks sollen mir als vorzügliche, musikalische Untermalung dienen.
the selfteached artist Gabor Kerekes seems to turn back the technological development in photography. it might sound conservative but by refusing technology he comes up with a passionate fascination for details. for more than 30 years the hungarian is taking pics. i have a weakness particularely for his work of the seventies and eighties. captures like soaked in soft filter who are hard to beat in their darkness. a few dark guitar tracks shall give the exquisitive background.

Einer der schwedischen shooting stars der Fotoszene ist die in Argentinien geborene Julia Peirone. Sie lotet deutlich die Grenzen zwischen dokumentarischer Fotografie und technischer Inszenierung aus – viewiel geht da maximal zusammen? Ihre Ausschnitte verstärken das momenthafte einer Fotografie. Herausgelöst aus ihrer eigentlichen Umgebung werden die Protagonisten komplett auf ihre Handlungen, ja sogar auf ihr Sein reduziert. Die auf Farbe reduzierte Umgebung macht in dem Moment nicht platt, sondern deutlich. Spannend, wirklich spannend.
on of the swedish shooting stars in the photo scene is the in argentinia born julia peirone. she plays with the borders between documentary photography and techchnological inszenation – how much is there to get the maximum out of it? her captures enforce the momentarely character of a photography. put out of their usual environment the protagonists are reduced completely to their actions and on their being. the one coloured surrounding does not make the whole thing flat but really exciting.

Polaroids haben die schöne Angewohnheit, explizit unfertig auszusehen. Keine gestochene Schärfe, oft fehlt die Tiefe. Trotzdem bringen diese Aufnahmen Dinge an den Tag, den mit anderen Mitteln nur schwer oder gar nicht sichtbar werden. Habe heute eine schöne Seite gefunden, auf der man ohne Scheu die Ergebnisse Sofortbildkamera präsentierten kann: Polanoid. Und ich darf versichern, die Stunden schwinden dahin, während man scheinbar endlos oft Weiter klickt. Die Seite gehört wohl in jede Bookmarksammlung eine Polaroid-Fans. Einstieg ins mehr als 27.000 Bilder umfassende Archiv ist hier. Und Archive bringen mit dem neuen Knaller ihrer im Mai erschienen Neuen den genau richtigen Sound.
polaroids use to look unfinished. no real sharpness and dimensionless. still those pictures create moments which might not be produced with other equipment. today i found a nice polaroid site ready to publish selfmade polaroid pics: Polanoid. and i can assure time flies while going through all the stuff. the site should belong into every bookmark collection of the polaroid fan. they have like 27.000 images in their database. here you can go to the site. the fitting sound to it is from Archive with the new blow up from their in may published album.

Hatte ich vor einigen Tagen schon mal auf Caspar David Friedrich verwiesen, gilt das auch für einige Fotos von Jacob Carter. Diese Technik, Fotos fast wie impressionistische Gemälde wirken zu lassen, scheint derzeit mächtig angesagt, befindet gleichfalls Joerg Colberg, bei dem ich auf Jacob Carter aufmerksam wurde. Neben seinen Strandfotos ist die AKW-Serie sehr spannend. Werft gleich auch einen Blick auf einige seiner Auftragsarbeiten. Spannend.
like i mentioned a couple days ago Caspar David Friedrich i relate also some images of Jacob Carter to him. this ability to make look photos like impressionistic paintings seems to be in right now. this also Joerg Colberg thinks who put my attention on Jacob Carter. besides his beach pictures is the AKW-episode very exciting. have a look on some of his works by order. exciting.
